Family Promise's mission is to help families seeking stable housing in the South Bay achieve sustainable independence through a community-based approach. Seaside helps to provide meals and supplies to these families as they work to become self-sufficient again.
School Supplies
Love INC helps to provide local children with essential school supplies so they can start the school year successfully. Seaside collects backpacks and supplies for this project.
Warm Up Sunday
Even in So. California it gets cold in the winter. We collect warm coats and blankets to help the mothers and children assisted by Community's Child to stay warm.
Thanksgiving Food Collection
Every November, Seaside assembles Thanksgiving food bags along with a turkey to give to familes through Harbor Interfaith Services. We also provide grocery gift cards to Love, INC and Toberman Neighborhood Center.
Socks for DCFS
New socks and underwear are among the most needed clothing items by children in the DCFS system. These children are often removed from their homes in a hurry because they are at risk, so they may have only the clothes they were wearing.
CROP Hunger Walk
No one should be hungry! We walk to raise funds to help Church World Service develop resources to end hunger and poverty around the world.
